Apple’s latest iPhone 15 series came out almost a couple of weeks ago but it has already received some feedback. While there were those who complained about the device overheating, new reports reveal that the iPhone 15 Pro works great on Dish Wireless’ Boost Infinite.
As shared by Fierce Wireless, the experience of activating service on Boost Infinite was a seamless one. Coverage was also pretty good.
The feedback came from Philip Burnett, an analyst at New Street Research. According to Burnett, he signed up for Boost’s “Infinite Access for iPhone” plan. This gave a $1,000 discount on the iPhone 15 Pro and offered unlimited service at $60 per month. He did not have to go to a store to activate service. After filling out some forms online, Burnett’s new device was delivered overnight by UPS. Since there’s no need for a physical SIM, he was able to activate his new phone by pressing just a few buttons.
Although this seems like a positive experience, there are users who expressed frustration over the ordeal. One user shared that he encountered an error upon activation and spent almost three hours waiting for a representative over the phone. Despite this, his new iPhone would not activate and the “customer service guys” were unable to fix the problem.
It’s important to note, though, that the majority of activations usually run smoothly. Although there are some who encounter hiccups, they simply need more support from a knowledgeable human.
Going back to the analyst, Burnett noted that his service under Boost’s Infinite Access for iPhone had acceptable speeds. His apartment in New York City reached around 80Mbps, while he had around 400Mbps outdoors. He noted that his service ran on T-Mobile’s network since Dish’s own 5G network still does not have this capacity.
Dish has promised to deploy VoNR soon, which could be available in New York in the future.
