This week, Motorola unveiled a number of stunning devices. While some of these devices are exclusively available in China (especially the new Razr 2022), it has also announced one device that will be making its way to the US. The motorola edge (2022) comes as the latest flagship model under the series. To date, it is the thinnest and most compact Edge model that Motorola has produced.
This device comes with a 6.6-inch FHD Plus OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. From within, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC with two memory configurations to choose from: a 6GB of RAM with 128GB onboard storage and an 8GB of RAM with 256GB onboard storage option. And if that’s not enough, you also get 100GB of Google One cloud storage for 12 months.
Camera-wise, you get three cameras on the back: a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS and Motorola’s “all-instant” phase detection autofocus, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide/macro scanner, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor for video calls and selfies.
Other features include 5G support, IP52 for water and dust resistance, and a massive 5,000mAh that promises to last up to two days on a full charge. Upon release, the device operates on Android 12.
For a limited time period, the device will be available at $499. Motorola did not specify how long this period will be until it jacks up the price of the device to $599. Plus, T-Mobile has exclusive availability for a few weeks before the device becomes available to other US carriers like Verizon, Spectrum Mobile, AT&T, US Cellular, and Visible.
You can check out the device from T-Mobile’s website here. They are currently offering a free device to new and existing customers who activate service on a qualifying plan. AT&T plans to follow this up by offering the device online starting September 2nd and in stores starting September 9th.
