Just in time for Valentine’s Day, T-Mobile customers were unable to send a greeting to their loved ones at the stroke of midnight. So if you’re wondering if your significant other ghosted you during this time of year, there’s a perfectly valid reason before you get mad at him. T-Mobile experienced a massive network outage for a few hours last night.
DownDetector received over 80,000 complaints from T-Mobile customers last night. The complaints seemed to have spiked around 11:00 pm and died down by 2:00 am.
Turning over to Reddit, affected customers revealed that they were unable to place calls or do basic things on their phones. While some users had intermittent service, others had no service at all. Some iPhone 14 users even complained that their devices did not automatically default to an emergency SOS satellite indicator.
Affected users were able to temporarily fix the problem by toggling the on and off button on airplane mode of their phones. But thankfully, T-Mobile quickly responded and fixed the problem.
Neville Ray tweeted:
“Our teams are rapidly addressing a 3rd party fiber interruption issue that has intermittently impacted some voice, messaging and data services in several areas. The situation is improving and we hope to have a full resolution very soon. We apologize for any disruption caused.”
Did you experience an outage around that time too?
