When the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro first came out, there were some Visible users who were unable to activate their device using eSIM. Thankfully, Visible has fixed the issue and users are now able to activate service on their new phones.
Prior to fixing the issue, users were unable to switch to the new phone using eSIM via the Visible app. This was an ongoing problem even though Google promised its new devices support eSIM. The problem that these users encountered was that they received an error message saying their phone wasn’t compatible when they entered the IMEI of their device.
While waiting for a solution, users had to order a physical SIM or opt to wait until it gets fixed. But when choosing the former, the eSIM on the older device would be deactivated. As a result, customers don’t have service until the physical card comes in the mail.
Now that the problem has been fixed, Visible has issued an apology over the situation. Visible also shared that it heavily invests in eSIM and works hard to make sure its customers have a seamless experience.
