Recently, there was an issue on Visible’s base plan. According to reports, customers complained that their plan was being restricted to the max speed of 200 Mbps. In a blog post, Verizon’s prepaid brand has written a letter to customers to explain that this issue has already been fixed.
Visible says that it will be removing the 200 Mbps speed cap on its base plan by March 1, 2024. Since this date is still a couple of weeks away, Visible suggests to power cycle your device or toggle the airplane mode so you can remove the 200 Mbps cap manually.
Visible also explained what happened. Apparently, the 200 Mbps cap was “a holdover from Visible’s Party Pay days,” something that the original Visible customers can remember. When the network migration was completed, Visible planned to remove it. It was only until customers started alerting the prepaid brand that they realized the issue was affecting the plan.
Visible thanked the customers who have alerted them on the issue so they were able to remedy it.
