HMD made an official announcement today. In its announcement, the smartphone manufacturer revealed that they are now the official smartphone partner of FC Barcelona. This means that they will be supporting both the men’s and women’s club, Barcelona Femeni.
This partnership will cover the next three years, where HMD will be advertising its devices at the Olympic Stadium, where the games of FC Barcelona are usually held. When the team moves to Camp Nou, HMD’s ads will also appear there.
The deal was unveiled in an ad starring hairdresser Saul Peregrina, as he cuts the hair of 17-year-old Lamine Yamal, the up-and-coming star of the Catalan team. The logo of HMD was cut into Yamal’s hair next to the crest of the Barcelona team. You can watch the ad here.
The good news about this partnership is that the smartphone manufacturer will also be supporting other sports, such as basketball, handball, futsal, and roller hockey.
