Lycamobile has made changes to its wireless plans.
One of the changes that the T-Mobile MVNO made is increasing the high-speed data allotment on the $33 plan. Instead of the 15GB 5G/4G LTE data allotment included, this plan now comes with 18GB of monthly data. But this is a pretty tricky deal.
As shared by BestMVNO, the plan actually only comes with 12GB of high-speed data for the first month. On your 2nd month, however, the data allotment increases to 18GB. This will then be the monthly data allotment afterwards.
They have also downgraded their $29 per month plan. Previously, this plan came with 7GB of high-speed data before throttling. Now, it only includes 6GB data.
Lastly, Lycamobile has updated its Family Plan with more data and higher pricing. Previously, the MVNO offered two family plans with 7GB of high-speed data and 15GB each line. These plans, however, have been erased.
In lieu of these two plans, Lycamobile has created a new 40GB Family Plan with these pricing tiers:
$75 - 2 lines
$100 - 3 lines
$125 - 4 lines
$150 - 5 lines
This new plan comes with unlimited everything. Once the high-speed data allotment has been reached, the data speed will be throttled to 2G. The plan also comes with unlimited international calling and texting to more than 75 countries. You can purchase data add-ons at $5 for 2GB and $10 for 5GB.
