After the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint, the question on everyone’s minds is when they will shut down the latter’s CDMA network. Ever since the merger was made official, T-Mobile has been pointing towards a January 1, 2022 shut down date.
But now, the next question to ask is when they will shut down Sprint’s LTE network. And according to a document that T-Mobile sent out to Sprint customers, the LTE network is scheduled to shut down on June 30, 2022.
Once this shut down date takes place, affected customers will be left without service. This is why it is important that you upgrade to a newer device that is compatible with T-Mobile’s 5G network. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to make any calls, even emergency 911 calls.
