It looks like T-Mobile is pulling the plug on one key service that many of its customers enjoy: the SyncUP PETS service.
As revealed by The Mobile Report, the Un-carrier will shut down this service on November 10, 2023. After this shutdown date, the tracking device that users put on the collar of their pets will no longer connect to T-Mo’s network. This means that these devices will be rendered useless.
Instead of T-Mo’s SyncUP PETS service, you’ll have to look for an alternate tracking device to monitor your pets’ whereabouts.
In a leaked document shared by the publication, T-Mobile says that its customers don’t need to do anything to deactivate the service. These lines will automatically be canceled by T-Mobile. More importantly, they will stop billing customers for this service.
If you are a pet owner who is using T-Mobile’s SyncUP PETS service, you can expect a text message notifying you of this shutdown date soon.
