T-Mobile has great news for its customers. The Un-carrier has become the first carrier to offer 5G coverage across all 50 states in the country. Although there are some areas where it is not offering 5G from its own network, T-Mobile has struck a roaming deal with GCI. This is nowhere near their coverage, but it manages to meet your needs from a national provider.
According to the report, T-Mobile’s deal with GCI provides 5G coverage in Anchorage, Alaska. Eventually, this would be expanded to Fairbanks, Juneau, as well as the “other fiber-served communities.”
In order to access 5G, you will need to use a 5G-enabled device. And for T-Mobile, this means the Samsung Galaxy S20 and the OnePlus 8. So if you’re interested in being able to enjoy 5G coverage, you can start considering T-Mobile. It might take a while before 5G will be available in most areas, but this is definitely a good move for the wireless provider.
